Summer graduation in full swing

​​4501 AUT students graduate this week and 3107 of them will be attending a graduation ceremony at the Aotea Centre. With fabulous weather forecast all week, two days have passed and there are two more days of graduation ceremonies to come.

X-Challenge, a new university-wide competition that gives every AUT student an opportunity to develop an idea for a business, cause or project will culminate with a Dragons Den style pitch night on Thursday 23 November.

One of New Zealand’s best-selling and most-respected historians, Professor Paul Moon, was last night acknowledged for his contributions as a researcher, academic and teacher. The AUT Excellence Awards recognise and celebrate excellence in the university’s community. Professor Moon was awarded the top accolade - the AUT University Medal - for sustained and exceptional academic achievement.

Indigenous storytellers gathered at AUT for the Ngā Aho Whakaari (Māori in Screen Production) Hui ā Tau – a weekend for industry, scholars and students to share knowledge.
